Dave Flynn continues to reel off the PBs. Currently having a season that has seen him record PBs over 1500, mile, 3,000, and 3,000 sc last night he added a 5,000 PB of 14:24.19 to his Flynn 2012 collection. At the Drake Relay Meet in Des Moines, Iowa Flynner ran an excellent race for Arkansas to place 7th. Arkansasrazorbacks.com features the following: “In the night’s finale, Flynn took a break from the 3,000-meter steeplechase to post a top-10 showing at 5,000 meters. He finished the race in a time of 14:24.19, good for seventh place. It was his second collegiate race at 5,000 meters and first at Arkansas. Flynn last competed at the distance in 2010 while at Western State.”
“I was 30 seconds faster than the last time I ran 5,000 meters (in 2010),” Flynn said. “I think it was a good race for me in preparation for trying to double (in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and 5,000 meters) at the SEC meet later this season.”
