Another Heney High Jump win at IUAA C`ships

There was a good Clonliffe presence in Athlone yesterday (Friday the 12th) for the Irish Universities Indoor Championships with two wins taken by the club`s athletes. Andrew Heney continued his recent winning ways with yet another win in the High Jump with a 2.00m clearance and Antonia Garcia Fernandez won the 60 hurdles in a new IUAA record of 8.13.

Timmy Crowe was 2nd in the 400 in 48.21. There was a rare defeat for Ian Rogers in the pole vault, Ian placing 2nd with a 4.40m best. Keith Pike was 3rd in the 60m (6.92).
