Recent new Clonliffe recruit Brandon Hargreaves took an excellent win in this morning`s Irish Runner 5 Mile in a fast 24.18, some 7 seconds clear of pre race favourite Sean Hehir (Rathfarnham). This was the Australian born Clonliffe man`s first race on Irish soil, since his arrival here at the start of the month. Also well to the fore was Michael McDiarmada placing 5th in 25.18. Meanwhile Gary O`Hanlon took in another marathon today, 2nd in the Waterford Viking Marathon in 2.31.56
