The Clonliffe mens track and field team travel to Dubnica, Slovokia on Saturday for Group B of the European Clubs Championship. Captain Joe Cooper has selected a pretty strong team, although as a result of injuries and unavailability of some of the club`s top athletes, the team is slightly weakened. The guys will no doubt give a good account of themselves with a team that includes experience and some exciting young talent. The travelling team is: Keith Pike, Kris Valters, Dave Fitzmaurice, Brian McMahon, Gary O`Hanlon, Jayme Rossiter, John Fagan, Dave Donegan, Matt Field, Andrew Heeney, Paul Marry, Martin Hunt, Tomas Rauktys, Tomas Drinia, John Laffey, Daniel Doran, Ciaran Donohue and Brian Tobin. The management team is Joe Cooper, Jeremy Lyons and Stephen Harkness.
On Sunday Clonliffe will face: Sparta AM (DEN), AK Sparkan Dubnica nad Vahom (SVK), Macabi Tel Aviv (ISR), Phanos (NED), Entente Franconville Cesame Val d’Oise (FRA), AC Crvena Zezada, Belgrade (SRB), Jyvaskylan Kenttaurheilijat (FIN).
