Dublin Master`s gold for Clonliffe elder statesmen! (updated)

Whilst the Irish weather in recent weeks has been exceptional overnight rain fall over the weekend meant for a muddy St. Anne`s Park in Raheny for today`s Dublin Masters Championships. The Championships also drew a record entry as the running boom continues with over 300 in the men`s race and 150 in the women`s.

There was also a big entry of black and amber clad athletes with teams in most of the age categories.  All the athletes competing put in strong efforts and at the end of the day the golds came courtesy of some of the club`s most experienced Masters as multi title holders over the years once again came out on top. So take a bow Dublin Champions: Matt Slattery O/65, Pat Bonass O/70 and Jimmy Bennett O/75.

Of the Clonliffe women a big team was lead home after a strong run by Emma Cooper 11th. Other results (thanks Pamela):
