Brian Gregan ran a powerful opening leg of the 4 x 400 relay at the European Championships in the last few minutes to set up a thrilling 3rd place finish for the Irish team of Gregan, Brian Murphy, Richard Morrissey and Tom Barr to propel them into tomorrow`s final. The team`s time of 3.03.57 was a new Irish record breaking the existing record that has stood for 12 years.
