Kenneally 2nd in Dublin 10

After a Summer of frustration Mark Kenneally took another step on the road to recovery this morning when he finished 2nd in the Frank Duffy Dublin 10 Mile Championship. The race was the 2nd in the Adidas Race series drawing a huge crowd to the Phoenix Park bright and early for the annual 10 miler over a fairly tough course on an excellent late Summer (or early Autumn, depending on your mood) morning with of course the obligatory Phoenix Park breeze. After his outing for Clonliffe in the 5,000m at last weekend`s magnificent third in a row National T & F league success Mark will be fairly pleased with his progress running a time of 51:48 in taking second place behind Scottish visitor Andy Douglas (50:52).

Yet another good run on the roads today by the ever improving Lorcan Cronin who placed 5th in 52:51. Gary O`Hanlon was the club`s next finisher in 11th place in 54:18, with Mark Birmingham 4th man home in 62:49 in 112th place.

Other Clonliffe: 135th Niall Sherlock 64:12, 157th Jeremy Chapman 64:46, 269th Kieran Murphy 67:51 and Aisling Coppinger 69:33, 338th overall and 9th in her category.
