Leinster Schools Cross Country Final Instructions

On Wednesday Clonliffe Harriers host the Irish Life Health Leinster Schools Cross Country Championships in Santry Demesne Park . We look forward to hosting this event. In order for the event to be a success all schools and competitors are requested to read and be familiar with the following:

INSTRUCTIONS SHEET

Event:            Leinster Schools Cross Country Finals

Venue:           Santry Demesne Park, courtesy of Fingal County Council

Time:            From 12 noon. Last race – 2.20 p.m.

Event Parking:   Morton Stadium. Coaches to park in the Clonliffe carpark.  Cars in the main stadium carpark.  Please note that Fingal County Council have specifically requested that no event parking takes place in Santry Park itself.

Collection of numbers: Under the covered terrace situated along the main straight – close to the 100m start in the stadium. Numbers can be collected here from 10.15 a.m.

Toilets:      In stadium. Please note there are no toilet facilities in the park.

Access to the venue:      Via gate at 100m start on Morton Stadium.

Indoor area Morton Stadium:    Closed and strictly out of bounds.

Track in Stadium:    Strictly out of bounds. Under no circumstances is any encroachment permitted onto the track by either competitors or spectators.

Race call up:  10 minutes before the start of each race.

Course:    Marked and taped, please do not warm up on the course itself.

Event officials:    Leinster Schools Athletics Association.

Course officials:   Clonliffe Harriers. Competitors/schools please note that all officials/stewards are giving up their time voluntarily on the day.  Please

obey their instructions and please be courteous at all times to all officials/stewards.

Medical issues:  St. John’s Ambulance.

Rubbish: Please bring a rubbish bag, please appoint one of your party to be in charge. Please bring your rubbish back from the park with you.
