Mark Kenneally named Road/Cross Country athlete of the year

Nov 14, 2010 [Noel Guiden] At last night`s Athletes Ireland Awards Dinner Clonliffe`s Mark Kenneally was honoured by Athletics Ireland by being named Road/Cross Country Athlete of the Year. This was a fitting acknowledgement of Mark`s exceptional 2009/10 Cross Country season which included his magnificent 8th place in the European Cross Country held in Santry last December, his (overlooked by some but not by Clonliffe) 6th place finish in the European Club`s Cross Country in Bilbao in February and his superb winning of the National Cross Country in the Phoenix Park in March.

Clonliffe also received a presentation as Dublin Club of the year, and were nominated for the fourth successive year in the prestigious Club of the year. Congratulations to St. Abbans AC on their winning of the Club of the year for 2010. Mags Greenan had been nominated for the Master of the year which was won by Pat Timmons of Raheny.
