Nationals coming back to Santry….

On November 22nd Clonliffe will host the National inter Club cross country Championships. This is the first Nationals since the switch with the inter counties, and the race will also double as the trial for the Irish team for the European cross Country. The Clonliffe men are the defending champions, having regained the title in Rostrevor last March, with the switch there will effectively be two 2015 champions!

This is also the first time Clonliffe have hosted the Nationals since March of 2012. The 22nd will be a full championship day as the National Juvenile Even Ages will also take place, followed by Junior women and men and then senior women and men.

The Committee appeals now to all our members to become actively involved with the event. Please do not leave the task to others, a lot of the “old reliables” will also be looking after teams on the day, so whilst these guys will set up the course they simply cannot also be expected to steward and officiate. On the day at least 30 club members will be needed from 10.30 onwards, please please make yourself available. This is a big day for our club needing all to put their shoulder to the wheel. Now a little over 4 weeks out we need to know who is available. Please text your name to 0879599888 asap, before all the best jobs are gone! The usual Clonliffe Sunday rates will apply, a sandwich and a big thank you. Nil desperandum.
