In Torun in Northern Poland the European Masters Indoors and Cross Country Championships have been taking place this week. The sole Clonliffe athlete competing is Ìnternational Master`s Championship trail blazer Pat Bonass. On Wednesday Pat took to the boards in the M70 3000, however, illness put his changes on hold as he DNFed. Undeterred and feeling better after 48 hours recovery he took to the country today for the 5,000 cross country and running with that Bonass cunning he ran an excellent race to take European bronze. A very proud day for Pat and Clonliffe.
