Mar 27, 2010 [Noel Guiden] Clonliffe`s Sergiu Ciabanu made it a winning return to the road racing circuit with an excellent win in today`s Omagh Half Marathon. The race got underway at 12.00 noon and by all accounts was a tough enough day with blustry conditions and the odd shower thrown into the mix. With splits of 33.12/34.32 Sergiu was a comfortable winner in 67:44 a winning margin of just short of a minute. Excellent runs also by Declan Power in 5th place in 73:44, Anthony Malone 37th in 79:28, Mark Birmingham 50th in 81:13 and there then followed a gaggle of battling Clonliffe men, all training partners by the way, 94th was Maurice McCrohan in 85:04, 96th Jeremy Chapman (85:21) and 100th Eoin Murray (85:41).
