The Juvenile Spring Race Series 2013 came to an end this morning (Sunday 24th) in a bitterly cold Morton Stadium. It`s good to report, however, that despite the conditions there was an impressive turn out of athletes from the clubs involved so take a bow all you hardy athletes from Ballyboughal AC, Lusk AC, Portmarnack AC, Skerries AC and Clonliffe Harriers. All the races enjoyed big fields particularily the girls U/13 800 and U/15 1200 where the start was like a big city marathon.
There were some fine runs from the Clonliffe athletes today with impressive wins provided by David Tuite boys U/13 800, Cathal Doyle boys U/17 mile, Ruth Bergin girls U/15 1200, Joseph Hession boys U/15 1200, Kate Watson girls U/9 300 and Johnathan Fitzsimons boys U/9 300.
Thank you to all the officials who turned out and to the parents for the catering post event in the clubhouse. Well done to all on another very successful Spring Series.
