Feb 1, 2011 [Noel Guiden] Clonliffe track and field Athlete of the year Brian Gregan has gotten his 2011 indoor season off to an unbelieveable start. Last year Gregan was superb in the 400 setting a new club record on three occasions and qualifying for both the world Indoor and European Championships. Not being one to rest on his laurels he has being training like The Beast over the Winter and today has shown the fruits of that labour. Gregan won the 400 at today`s Vienna Indoor Classic in a time of 46.82, well inside the qualifying time (47.2) for the European Indoors in Paris. His time is a full second faster that last year`s season opener. An excellent run also from Ciaran Mackey running a new PB of 49.1
