The 5k Club Championships took place on Thursday night also incorporating the next round of the Grand Prix Series.
The winner in the men’s race was Tom Sherlock in 16.23, with Anthony Flannery 2nd in 16.48 followed by Conor Keane in 3rd place in a time of 16.52. A double night of celebration for Conor as he also took first place in the Grand Prix, in second was Niall Markey and 3rd place was both Aine McCann and Sinead Smith.
The winner in the Ladies club championship was Joyce O’Hare in 19.36, with Clodagh Moriarty 20.52 and in third place was Emma Dunne in a time of 21.21.
The Grand Prix series takes a break now till September, returning on the 3rd September with the Walker Cup.
