Sunday 7th April was Race No.1 hosted by Lucan Harriers AC of 3 in this year Meet & Train Road Race Series. In a field of over 100 athletes we had 11 Clonliffe athletes take part. In a very tactical race we saw relative new comer to Clonliffe Harriers Bernadette Kieran take home the gold medal. Next home was Caoimhe Cruise in 15th followed by Caroline Duggan 18th Emma Kelly 25th Marie O’Connell 31st Niamh Kiely 33rd Catriona Shanhan 43rd Mandy McMenamy 53rd Deirdre Dune 56th Viv Byrne 59th and Michele Schmit 60th
Race No 2 is Wednesday 27th May 7.30pm in Ringsend.
As the Meet & Train athletes warmed down 6 more Clonliffe Ladies warmed up to take part this year National Road Relays. The Clonliffe ladies had 2 teams entered this year. Our first team consisting of Michelle English, making her debut for Clonliffe, Becky Woods & Roisin Leahy finish in 5th place and our second team of Orlaith Durkan, Sinead Hartnett & Emma Harding finished 17th.
