Another superb run by Cathal Doyle in the US overnight for the 3rd Friday in a row. At last night’s Oregon Twilight Meet in Hayward Field Cathal was 2nd in the 1500 running a new PB and University of Portland record of 3.40.54. Portland head coach Rob Conner said:”Tremendous effort! I had a feeling that Cathal might get the record tonight and he did. He ran smart holding back early and finished hard.”
Also in the US Tom Pitkin was 3rd in the 400 (47.83) for Butler at the Pacesetter Invitational, Terre Haute.
