The Tailteann Inter Provincial Track and Field took place at a newly painted and freshened Morton Stadium today in great weather, although the wind did whip up a bit as the afternoon progressed.
Clonliffe had two athletes competing for Leinster Schools. Aaron Cullen in the 1500 displayed fantastic fighting spirit as he came back from the dead at 200 to go in 4th and slipping back to 5th to rally down the home straight and battle back to bronze in 4.08.65. Likewise Jordan Byrne battled all the way in the tough 1500 SC, an opening lap of 65 seconds by the race winner virtually destroyed the field and left all struggling, Jordan faught all the way to a most commendable 5th place (4.53.82).
Guesting in the long jump was Keith Marks who produced a best of 7.06m.
