Aaron Cullen was the Clonliffe star of the day at the National Juvenile track and field championships in Tullamore today as he took the U/19 1500 national title with a gun to flag front running win in a time of 4.02.92, a winning margin of some 2 seconds.
In the U/18 girls final Sarah Bateson put in another typically brave run as she lowered her PB for the 2nd week in a row to 4.52 06 in placing 8th. In the U/17 race both Katie Halpin and Alana Fitzsimons unfortunately had days to forget.
Silver in the U/16 shot for Jonas Norvaisas with a fine 14.28.
