The 2023 Clonliffe Harriers Grand Prix continued last Thursday evening 4th August 2023 in Morton Stadium with the 1500m. The Series has now reached the half way stage. In reasonably pleasant conditions 31 athletes assembled for two races.
Wins for Sean Doran and Colm Lundy
In the first race an inform Sean Doran led from start to finish posting a time of 04:31. Niall Sherlock fresh after his run in the Dublin Graded the previous evening was second in 04:47. Peter Bissett was third in 04:48. Aisling Andrews was the fastest lady in a time of 05:18.
In the second race Colm Lundy chalked up his first track win in a time of 05:22. On his inaugural GP race Paddy Devitt was second in a time of 05:25. Philip Richards was third in 05:45.
Aisling Andrews wins GP 1500m
In the Grand Prix Aisling Andrews got her first win of the season. Noel Daly had a great run to take second place. Diarmuid Doyle ran a stormer to take third place. GP prizes were presented at a post-race reception in the Clubhouse. The GP 1500m was sponsored by Mick Kearney.
