News from Australia reached Clonliffe Harriers today of a well deserved honour for our friend the legendary Albie Thomas. In Queen Elizabeth`s Birthday Honours list Albie has been awaded the Order of Australia Medal. Picutured are Albie and his wife Nola. Albie`s daughter Robyn, her husband Gary Whitaker and two boys, Liam and Tom, will be guests of the Morton Games in Santry on July 17th when Robyn will present the prizes to the winner of the Albie Thomas 3000 marking the 55th anniversary of Albie`s World 3 Mile Record set in Santry in July of 1958
