Apr 19, 2011 [] Disappointing news from Boston yesterday, where Alistair Cragg failed to finish his debut marathon. With conditions favouring a fast race, the lead pack went through the first 10km a few seconds outside 29 mins, with Alistair in the mix.
However, the blisters which had materialised during his first mile were soon to become too big a problem, and shortly after passing 20km (under 62mins), Alistair was forced to call it a day.
Still, with the excellent form he’s shown leading in to this debut, it’s surely only a matter of time before this marathon man laces them up for another attempt.
