On Saturday Cathal Doyle clocked his 3rd PB of the season and over 3rd distance. Having already PB over 5000 and 1500 Cathal came down to 800 at the Oregon relays where he finished 1st in his race in 1.49.58, 6th overall. That time places couple now 6th on the Clonliffe all-time list over the distance.
On Sunday the 24th Karl Nolan ran 2:31.42 placing 9th in the Chester elite marathon. Also in the field was Stephen Scullion, only 2 weeks post Rotterdam, unfortunately the tight turnaround conspired against Stephen and he called it a day around 30km. A similar fate unfortunately befell David Fitzmaurice in Hamburg. Both will undoubtedly be back to fight another day.
