May 26, 2008 [Noel Guiden] Sunday May 25th was the 3rd and final day of the Dublin juvenile Championships at Morton and once again the club`s young athletes put on a truely magnificent show, matching the previous day`s haul of 24 medals. And so at the conclusion of the weekend`s proceedings our athletes had taken a superb 53 Dublin Championship medals – 25 Golds, 15 Silvers and 13 Bronze. Take a bow boys and girls and of course Gladys, Marion, Mick, Gerry, Joe, Brian and Ronan a magnificent team effort.
Sunday`s high lights included Leah Bergin in the U/15 taking more medals this time gold in the long jump and silver in the 100m to add to her 200m Gold from Saturday, a Clonliffe one two in the girls U/17 Javelin and in the boys U/17 3000m, and Elaine Begley in her first outing for the club winning silver in the U/15 long jump.
