Efrem Gidey put in yet another excellent performance at a world-class level today. Efrem finished 6th in the Cardiff cross country challenge over 9.6km, a World Athletics gold race, in a world-class field. The race was won by Uganda’s Keneth Kiprop in a time of 27.06. Efrem finished a mere 19 seconds later, 27.25, ahead of many notable names including Zak Mahamed (GBR) and Olympic 1500 finalist Niels Laros (NED).
Also Mihail Sprincean finished 7th in the Moldova 10k yesterday in 32.21.
Sunday the 10th: Garrett Loy ran 38.50 in the Thomas Kent 10k in Castlelyons, Co. Cork.
