Clonliffe overseas sprinters look like they are hitting form at the right time with the European Indoors in about 4 weeks time or so with Jeremy Phillips and Luke Lennon Ford both putting in good runs last weekend. At the big indoor meet in Vienna Luke Lennon Ford was eighth fastest overall in the 400 in a time of 47.86. The standard for the Europeans is 47.4. In two races Lennon Ford has reduced his Seasons Best from 49.13 to 47.86 clearly coming along nicely with several weeks left to get that standard.
In the US Jeremy Phillips opened his indoor season with a 6.98 run in Boston on the 26th, the 60m standard for Edinburgh is 6.78.
