Clonliffe marathon runner Barbara Sanchez is Zurich bound having been named today in the Irish team that will contest for the first time the European Marathon Cup. The Marathon Cup is a team marathon competition run in conjunction with the European Championships Marathon, in August with the results based on the 3 fastest times. The other members of the women`s team are Nicola Duncan (GCH), Maria McCambridge (DSD) and Clare McCarthy (Leevale).
Moving right down in distance in last weekend`s round up we missed Brian Gregan`s run in the 200m at the Steve Scott Invitational, Irvine, California where Brian finished 4th in 21.81.
