David Flynn, currently based at Mammoth Lakes, California in the USA, had his best race on the track for a couple of seasons at the World famous Mount Sac Relays last night (April 14th). The meet was held at the Murdock Stadium on El Camino College , Torrance, California. Flynner ran in the open 5,000, the final race on Friday the 14th, during the 12, yes 12, hour programme, and had an excellent race recording a seven second plus PB of 14.09.64 in placing 9th. This time places Flynner 23rd on the Clonliffe Al Time rankings.
Saturday, April 15th, another USA based Clonliffe athlete also recorded a new PB. Brian Flanagan ran 3.55.97 for McNeese at the Texas Invitational in Austin placing 2nd in heat 3.
Also on the 15th, the club`s 3rd US based man Aaron Hanlon ran 14.39.61 finishing 5th in the Ocean State Invitational held in Providence, Rhode Island.
