Aug 8, 2010 Brian Gregan rebounded from the disappointment of last weekend’s Barcelona 4x400m heats, with a new Personal Best time and Clonliffe club record today in Brussels. With a time of 46.21sec, Brian finished 2nd to Dominican Erison Hurtault, who won the race in 45.73secs. Brian’s time consolidates his 9th place position on the Irish all-time list over 400m.
Brian felt a slight hamstring strain with 100m to go and was forced to ease off slightly over the last straight, which probably cost him a sub 46 secs run. Fingers crossed the same form will be on display in the League final next Saturday.
Elsewhere on the track, Daniel Kavanagh showed his strong recent performances over 100m are continuing with a win in a legal 11.02 secs (0.9)
