Brian Hill wins club 1500 championship

The 1500m club championships also incorporating the ninth race in the 2013 Grand Prix series took place tonight in excellent conditions.

The club champion is Brian Hill, who in a few weeks time heads back home to the States after a year with Clonliffe. Brian in his first race for a long time after injury covered the distance in 4.12 with Adam O’Brien second in 4.14 and Cathal Doyle third in 4.18. There were three 1500m races in the Grand Prix series and the results are below. The winner was Bernie Byrne with Rachel Wisdom second and Pat Devitt in third place. Congratulations to all the winners.

The presentation took place in the club bar afterwards with some welcome teas,coffees and the usual spread of biscuits and cake. Thanks to Caroline Tuite for the catering. Thanks also to all the officials on the night.

The results of the 800m from 4th July are below also. An up to date leaderboard will follow in the next week or so.
