Brian MacMahon and Gary O’Hanlon got ready and rumbled over the half marathon distance in Waterford today in a good Clonliffe head to head. Brian came out on top taking a hard fought win from Bantry`s Alan O`Shea in 66.37. Brian making up ground from half way to catch O`Shea at 8 miles and thereafter the two ran shoulder to shoulder for the next 4 miles until Brian put on the burners in last mile to make the break and take a good win by some seven seconds. Gary was 3rd in 67.40.
