Car parking in Stadium

The club would like to draw all members and parents of juveniles to the issue of car parking in Morton Stadium on Clonliffe training nights. There is simply not enough car parking available in the stadium for the number of cars looking to park. Can we request that if at all possible you do not bring your car to the stadium, bike, bus, walk or run instead. Possibly you can park your car in the vicinity of the stadium and walk your child to training.

If however you must bring the car please observe the following:

  1. The Clonliffe side operates on a one-way system, enter through the Clonliffe Gate and exit via the middle gate.

2. If you are merely doing a drop off please do not stop your car as soon as you come into the stadium (all that happens is you are leaving other cars backed up on the Swords Road), but rather drive down behind the rear of the old stand and let your child out there to walk by themselves. Note you must instruct your child to walk – not run.

3. If at all possible we would request that you do not remain parked in the stadium but rather leave to allow spaces for those who must stay, and come back to collect later on – availing of the one-way system.

4. When you drive into the stadium exercise caution at all times – speed limit 5 KM per hour – watch out for not only children but also for athletes who may not be paying full attention to the presence of your car.

5. Park only where there are spaces available – do not Park in front of the clubhouse, those spaces are for the clubs officers and coaches. If there are no parking spaces available then you will have to leave the stadium and park elsewhere.

6. There is no parking permitted on the grass areas.

Parking at the main reception area – we have received the following notice from the management of Morton Stadium:

  1. Car Parking is limited in Morton Stadium.

2. Please only park in allocated spaces.

3. There is NO parking in the ambulance spaces.

4. Only authorised vehicles should be parked in the accessible parking spaces.

5. If the car park is full, you must find alternative parking off site.

6. There is no parking on the grass.

7. Normal rules of the road apply at all times.

8. In addition – the gate will CLOSE when the car park is full.
