Cathal Doyle has delivered once again a quite exceptional performance in the Olympic Games 1500 semi-final. Tonight was Cathal’s 3rd race on successive days, he was competing against the best athletes in the world and he battled like the exceptional athlete he is. At no stage did he give in to those tired legs, once again he found the doggedness to drive down that home straight finishing in 10th position – his time a new PB, a new Clonliffe Harriers club record and the 2nd fastest time ever run by an Irish man – 3.33.15.
Cathal Doyle has done his club and his country proud. He is simply superb!
