Cathal Doyle wins Cork City Sports Mile

To complete a phenomenal 10 days Cathal Doyle won the Cork City Sports mile last night in a new PB of 3.56.35. It has being an outstanding week and a bit for Cathal since he returned home, in three meets Cathal has been crowned national 1500 champion, he narrowly missed out on winning the Morton mile in what is universally being acclaimed as the mile race of the year, but in the process grabbed his 1st sub- 4 and last night he was supreme in winning the prestigious Cork city sports mile. Not only was that a new PB but it places Cathal in 3rd position on the Clonliffe Harriers all time list.

Clonliffe’s other athletes competing last night was Marcus Lawler who finished 4th in his 200th race in a time of 20.92.
