Pamela Cooper Reports: On a paticularly hot sunny sunday afternoon in the Phoenix Park the Clonliffe ladies finally after several years of finishing 4th & 5th took a Dublin Novice bronze medal with 3 top 20 finishes by Lorna Begley (12) Louise Caraher (16) Ciara Peelo (17) and Laura Tuite (23). This team was 100% supported and pushed on by fellow athletes (finish order) Emma Dunne, Emma Harding, Kerri Page, Maura Matthews, Emer Treacy, Laura Kearnan, Brid Beausang, Caoimhe Cruise and Emer Brennan.

In the Novice men`s race Cathal Doyle took gold for Clonliffe as he led with ease from start to finish the team however missed on on the medals finishing 5th. Cathal Doyle 1 Conor Keane 11 Sean Doran 26 Niall Sherlock 47 Niall Norman 48 Fergal O’Shea 68 Niall Markey 72 and Graham Mahon 78
The support of the day for clonliffe was fantastic. Earlier in the programme the Clonliffe juveniles took in round 3 of the cross country league, with Wednesday`s schools race the Clonliffe numbers were down somewhat. Top performers on the day were Sarah McDonnell and Cian O`Hare both recording 7th place finishes.
At yesterday`s Simon 5 Mile also in the Park Conor Healy was 3rd in 26.36.
