At a snowy Tymon Park this afternoon Cathal McHale had a fine run to take Dublin intermediate silver. Call got himself into the race from the gun and was always at the head of proceedings, Portmarnock’s Graham Gilshinan made the decisive move at about half way and opened the gap, Cathal followed and pulled away from the rest of the field but couldn’t make up the differential on Gilhinan. Anto Doran, despite being under the weather, battled all the way in 18th position, Ger Clerkin was next in 25th with Alan Worrall making up the scoring four in 57th. Unfortunately Dave Comiskey rolled his ankle on the 2nd lap and had to call it a day as the team finished out of the medals.
