Christopher Lynch goes green at NIA T & F

It was a proud night at the NIA for last night’s (Jan 15th) track and Field live series for Clonliffe Harriers as young 400m athlete Christopher Lynch pulled on the Irish vest for the first of hopefully many times. Christopher was running on the Irish development 4 x 400 relay team that clocked a time of 3.19.78.

Also at the meet Emily Jachna clocked a new 60 PB in the final with a time of 8.10 as she finished 5th. The qualifying round Emily had ran 8.19 was taking 2nd position. Lee Duddy also ran a new PB in the 800 (2.07.10). In the elite women’s 800 Niamh Kelly ran a fine season’s opener of 2.13.42 whilst taking 3rd position.

There were also some of the club’s juvenile athletes taking part in the meet, in the U/16 boys 800 Conor Kenny took 2nd , Mark Kelly 3rd and Hayden Kenny 4th. Hannah Ni Mhuircheartagh in the U/14 60 took 3rd place in her race and 11th in her 800, whilst Julia Rzeszutko took 4th in her 800.

The next Track & Field series meet at the NIA is February 12.
