Killian Lonergan led the Clonliffe Team home in the European Half Marathon Championships in Oporto, Portugal on Saturday the15th of October, finishing in a very credible 21st place to lead the team to 7th overall.
Other Clonliffe placings were:
Cian McLoughlin – 24th, Garry O’Hanlon – 26th, Eddie Coughlan – 40th
Club Captain Joe Cooper was a little disappointed with the 7th place and pointed out that “unfortunately Paolo Doglio was carrying an injury which forced him to pull up in the race and this undoubtedly put the team back somewhat.”
The next big race for the team will be the Dublin Senior Cross Country on home territory at Santry Demesne on the 13th of November. Put a note in your diary as the lads will appreciate your support.
