The final Dublin Athletics graded meet took place at Morton Stadium last night with good representation by Clonliffe athletes, particularly in the sprints. The women’s 100 C race featured 3 of the Clonliffe young relay team from Sunday’s league final, it was alomost a club championship. Fastest of the Clonliffe women was Rachel Ogundimo who won the C race in an impressive 12.79. Maddie Njock was 3rd (13.49) with Lily Scanlon 5th 14.15. Snezana Bechtina was 8th in the B race in 13.74.
Kenji Miyauchi was fastest of the Clonliffe athletes on the night finishing 2nd in the 100 B race in 11.42. In 3rd place in that race was Bilal Kanmodo (11.54). In the 100 C race Eamonn Fahey was 1st in heat 1 in 11.65 and Christopher Lynch, usually a 400 man, clocked 12.35 for 5th in heat 2. Kamil Tomko was 7th in the D race (14.05).
Frances Mansfield was once again competing, throwing the discus 11.07 and the hammer 15.31. In the pole vault David Donegan, one of the heroes of Sunday’s league final win, got into the competition at 2.20 but unfortunately registered 3 fails at 3.80.
In the 1500 Fintan Kerins finished 2nd in the a race in 3.59.43 and making a return was Oren Kenny, 4th in the B race 4.09.84
