Clonliffe at T & F Live meet at NIA

The NIA Abbotstown was the venue for tonight’s live indoor track and field series in which several of the club’s juvenile athletes took part, many of those still buzzing following last night’s club juvenile awards.

In the U/12 girls 60, in heat 1 Muireann Spence took 2nd place with Aoife Henry in 5th. In heat 2 Ava Fagan was 6th with Lucy Fagan 7th. The girls team also finished 4th in the U/12 4 x 200 relay. Later in the 600 Ava finished 5th, Lucy 10th and Muireann 11th.

In the girls U/14 60 Julie Rztzutko in heat 1 took 3rd place (9.21 and later finished 8th in the 800 (2.43.62). Hannah Ni Mhuireacheartaig was 3rd in the 60 heats 2. (9.44).

The U/12 boys were out in force, the 600 was almost like a club championship: 3rd Rhys Daly, 4th Channing O’Shea, 5th Max Bradford, 6thRhys Jenkins, 7th Todd Kelly.

Likewise the boys U/14 800 was almost an all Clonliffe affair – 2nd Braxton O’Shea (2.17.47), 3rd Mark Kelly (2.17.82), 4th Matthew Ennis (2.25.86), 6th Eoghan Thompson (2.27.20), 8 Seamus Phelan (2.32.51).

Mark Murray finished 3rd in the boys U/16 60 in 7.72.

There were a couple of the senior sprinters in action in the 60s: series 1 Kenji Miyauchi clocked 7.14 to take 2nd and then in series 2 finished 1st in 7.15. Evan Story ran 7.67 and 7.65.
