Tuesday, June 6th, the latest in the BHAA Summer series took place in Dublin’s Phoenix Park. This time it was a trail race, the OPW 5k Trail. From the off Clonliffe duo of Sean Doran and Tom Sherlock hit the front moving clear of the pack, at the race’s end it was Sean who prevailed to take the win, his first since coming back from injury, with Tom taking 2nd. Sean clocking 16.45 with Tom 16.52. Niall Sherlock came home in 8th position (18.12). Others included 11th David Brady and 2nd M40 (18.24) and Yvonne McDonagh 2nd W45. (Photo by Lindie Naughton)
Wednesday. June 7th Clodagh Galvin, back home for a few days in county Cork, finished 3rd woman in the Carrig Na Bhfear 5k in East Cork in 19.54. A tough course by all accounts with the first 2k mainly uphill.
