Efrem Gidey this week was the recipient of the evening Herald`s Schools Sport Star of the future award at a function on Tuesday. Efrem in the past two years has been the dominant boys athlete in the schools athletes scene, winning the All Ireland Cross Country title twice and schools 5000 title on the track.
Also this week Cathal Doyle received the DCU Most Improved Athlete Award.
Thursday Ben Guiden was awarded the Belvedere Headmaster`s Excellence Award for athletics.
