Clonliffe trio selected for Antrim International Cross Country

Athletics Ireland today announced teams for the Antrim International Cross Country. Three Clonliffe athletes have been selected to run on the Irish teams at Saturday`s (March 14th) event. Dave Flynn, who has impressed with his form in recent weeks capped with a 10th place and National XC team gold , makes the senior team, and top women`s junior athlete Hope Saunders after her historic National junior win, the first Clonliffe athlete to win the junior women`s race, will lead the Irish junior women`s team. Also confirmed on the Junior men`s team is Cathal Doyle, who has had two excellent races in recent weeks, 4th in the Nationals and last Saturday lead St. Aidans CBS to the All Ireland Senior Schools title.

March 14th`s Antrim International will see the wind down of the cross country season with only one event to follow: The ISAA International School`s Cross Country which will take place on Saturday March 21st. This event is hosted by Clonliffe Harriers in Santry Demesne, so as always any club member prepared to assist please contact noel.guiden@behans.ie.
