The final NIA Live meet of the indoor season took place in Abbotstown tonight drawing a fair number of Clonliffe athletes. The middle distance girls where out in force with heat no.3 of the 1500 a virtual club championship. Alannah Cooley and Sarah Bateson had a good battle at the front until Sarah struck for home just before the bell to run a huge pb of 4.54.34, Alannah ran 5.01.52, further back Hannah Browne managed to break away from Ale Hernandez 5.13.19 to 5.14.73. In heat 2 Greta Streimikyte had a strong run running 4.51.89.
Earlier in the 60m Thomas Moran won his race in 7.69 with Mark Middleton 5th. Snezana Bechtina ran 8.28 over 60m and later 25.83 (unofficial) in the 200. Lauren Carr was a strong winner of her 200 in 26.79 (unofficial). In The 800 Shaun Conaghan had a good race with a particularly strong final 200. Time not available.
