Sep 30, 2008 [Stephen Byrne] Well done to our athletes that competed in the Dublin Novice races at the weekend.
The lads finished on 43 points and were beaten into 3rd place by the mearest of margins by joint winners DSD and Liffey Valley on 42 points. Points scorers for the men were Brett Paine 5th, Declan Power 9th, Ronan Hartnett 10th and Stephen Harkness 19th. They were ably supported by Damien Reilly 32th, Terry McLoughlin 47th, Adrian Kearns 54th and Dermot Murphy 65th.
The Clonliffe ladies finished in 7th place, the scorers were Joyce O’Hare 11th, Sinead Hartnett 22th, Khadesja O’Hare 34th and Etain Alyward.
It looks like both captains will have strong teams to call on for the upcoiming Dublin Intermediates in Tymon Park next month.
