The last Sunday in January is the day for what has become one of the biggest road races in Ireland with 4268 finishers.
Clonliffe had a very large entry with some 63 entrants.
First home was Ben Coughlan running possibly his best race for Clonliffe finishing in 15th in 25:21, followed by Mahad Mohammed Egaal in 20th place in a time of 25::35 and then Sean Heaslip Owens in 25th in 25:50. These 3 scorers gave a total of 60 pts taking 1st place team, winning for the second year in a row, 5 ahead of Annadale Striders in 2nd and 11 ahead of host club Raheny Shamrocks in 3rd.
Mahad Mohamed Egaal was 1st Junior man home.
The Men (+40) team were 6th with Ger Clerkin, John Donlon and Stephen Ryan.
First home for the ladies Rachael McFadden, with Jools Hughes one place behind her and then Catherine Harvey who broke 35 mins.The ladies team finished 6th. The ladies (+40) tema finished 5th with Joyce O Hare, Rachael Eustace and Sinead McDermott making up the team.
