Clonliffe on tour: Antrim International Cross Country

A large contingent of Clonliffe Harriers will travel North on Saturday morning, Jan. 4th,  for the IAAF Antrim International Cross Country at Greenmount Campus. In the senior men`s race, which Joe Cooper will be using as part of his selection process to pick his team for February`s European Club Cross Country, Sergiu Ciobanu will look to cement his place in Joe`s team. The form of Dave Flynn will also be watched with interest, Flynner will be home specifically to race in Antrim with Portugal very much in his sights. Also competing is Jayme Rossister, now back in excellent shape after an injury blighted 2013.

There will also be a strong men`s junior team lead by European Cross Country International Aaron Hanlon along with most of the Clonliffe U/17 National Cross Country winning team: Cathal Doyle, Josh Stubbs, Brian Flanagan, Ross Kearney and juniors Eoin McCullough and Niall Norman.

The junior women`s team is Hope Saunders, Sally Ahern, Alanah Cooley, Laura Brennan and Laura Tuite.

The Clonliffe U/17 team is also looking strong: Adam O`Brien, David O`Hanlon, Shane Merrigan, Greg Hosseny, Joseph Hession, Kevin McKenna and Alex Gibbons. Sean Carrigg runs on the Athletics Ireland Irish Development Team.

To complete the travelling squad the U/15 boys team of: Kevin Loftus, Daniel Craig, Alex Hogan, Keith Hodson and Sean O`Leary.

Athletes please note that the Clonliffe bus to Antrim will depart the Stadium at 8.30am sharp. Please be at the Clonliffe club house for 8.15am (by the way don`t forget to bring some sterling!!). There are some places available if supporters would like to travel
