On Friday 31st May Tom Breslin, still on a high from the Schools World Cross Country Championships in Kenya took on the Senior Boys 5000m in Tullamore. In a stacked race Tom finished 6th in a time of 15:13.36
On Saturday, Christopher Lynch took a Silver for Belvedere College in a time of 49.48 which was also a PB. Christopher is going from strength to strength and will compete in the Dublin Championships at the weekend.
Also on Saturday Sean Cronin competed in the 1500m Senior Boys race. In what was a tactical race Sean was unfortunately unable to take the win on this occassion from Cormac Dixon who took the title in 4.02.43. Sean had to settle for the Silver with a time of 4.03.47. No doubt Sean and Cormac will battle out the 1500 again. With the small matter of the Leaving Cert ahead for Sean from Wednesday, he won’t be taking part in the Dublin Championships.
