Clonliffe team for European Track and Field

Clonliffe Harriers will dine at the top table of European athletics the weekend after this in Group A of the European Champion clubs Track and Field Championships which takes place in the Alexander Stadium, Birmingham on the 26th and 27th of May.

The Clonliffe team are, as one would expect, up against very strong opposition with some of Europe’s best athletes competing for their clubs.

Clonliffe will compete against the following:

The Clonliffe team travelling to the Championships is:

The backroom team travelling is: Joe Cooper (head of delegation), Noel Guiden (team leader), John Shields, Ciaran Donohoe (coaches), Paddy Marley (team official), Ciara McCallian (Physio), Johnny O’Leary.

The team will fly out to Birmingham on Friday the 25th from Dublin Airport at 1.30 p.m. and will return on Sunday night on an 8.45 p.m. flight arriving in Dublin at 9.50 p.m.

All team members are requested to come to the clubhouse on Tuesday after training for a brief meeting.
