Tonight was Juvenile Club Championship night in the stadium. A great turn out of young Harriers in action with lot of parents in attendance despite the non stop rain. It might even be said that the rain added to the fun. The athletes in action where from Gladys`group (ages 8 to 12) and Gerry`s (up to u/15) and they all got into the spirit of the night taking part in every event available, so we had sprinters going distance, distance runners going short and more field eventers than had ever been seen in the same place at the one time.
The event went on until well after 8.45 and was then followed by medal presentation to the winning athletes and an end of season party, generously sponsored once again by Colm Doran. It was a great night for all, so well done to these young athletes and a big thank you to their coaches and all involved. Hopefully all have dried out by now!
